Inhalt
The Moosburg internment camp existed from June 1945 until April 1948, when the Americans detained officials of National Socialist Germany, as well as persons they considered a threat to security and suspected war criminals.
Organizers of the Holocaust, a participant in the Wannsee Conference, the leaders of the Nazi "euthanasia program," concentration camp doctors, patrons of Hitler from the aristocracy and business, a top SA leader, Hitler's "court photographer" and his driver, high military officers, administrative officials and judges, thousands of functionaries from all levels of the hierarchy of the Nazi Party and its branches, and members of the resistance - they were all in the Moosburg internment camp.
What were the living conditions in the camp like? How did the denazification of the inmates proceed? What was the attitude of the internees toward National Socialism? The author explores these and other questions. He thus deals with a topic of the immediate post-war period that has received little attention to date. In doing so, he draws on extensive file material from various archives as well as numerous reports from internees.
